Urology Specialists, as we are called today, was founded in 1951 in Sioux Falls by James H. Hoskins, MD. He had a private practice until 1969, when his son, John H. Hoskins, MD, returned from his tour of duty in Vietnam and joined his father in practice. In 1970 James H. Hoskins retired due to his failing health. John H. Hoskins retired in April 1997. We incorporated in 1972 and adopted our present name- Urology Specialists.
